The University of Cadiz drives the First Doctoral Conference EDUCA-EIDEMAR-Ecuador.

More than 25 teachers and Ecuador officers carry out their doctoral studies in Cádiz.

The Constitution of 1812 building has the First Conference Doctoral EDUCA-EIDEMAR-Ecuador welcomed, framed in the cooperation agreements signed between the University of Cadiz, the International Campus of Excellence of the Sea Cei·mar and various universities and research organizations of the Republic of Ecuador within the strategic line of support for the construction of Latin American Knowledge by the UCA and the promotion of doctoral training of teachers and university staff.

The director of the Doctoral School of the UCA (EDUCA), Rosario Hernandez, accompanied by the General Director of International Relations at the University of Cádiz, Juan Carlos Garcia Galindo, presided over the opening ceremony, which was attended by faculty and Navy officers of Ecuador who are doing their doctoral thesis or studying Masters in Cadiz. Specifically, a total of 26 teachers and officers from the Technical University ECOTEC, Technical University of Loja (UTPL), Technological University Equator and the Oceanographic Institute of the Navy (INOCAR) and the University of Guayaquil currently conducting studies PhD and graduate students at UCA, within the branches of knowledge of Arts and Humanities, Management and Conservation of Sea, Marine Science and Technology, Social and Legal Sciences and Communication Sciences.

In this program, it will be added shortly Joint Doctorate sponsored by the Iberoamerican University Association of Graduate Studies (AUIP) and the Andalusian with the Doctoral International School in Studies EIDEMAR Sea, with the participation of Ecuadorian universities Lay University Eloy Alfaro Manabi (ULEAM) and Polytechnic School (ESPE) Army and the Simon Bolivar University of Colombia.

In the course of the conference was the presentation made by each teacher his thesis topic and degree of progress and agreed to establish a platform for collaboration between UCA and Ecuadorian universities for the implementation of joint projects. One of the first initiatives planned is participation in the conferences on blue Economy and Tourism organized in Ecuador Equinoccial Technological University with the collaboration of the UCA.

The course also that in the framework of the III International Summer School, organized jointly by UCA and the Oceanographic Institute of the Navy (INOCAR) in the Galapagos Islands during the month of July
