Yesterday took place at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Málaga a conference on ECOPUERTOS, a comprehensive project to improve the fisheries sector.

The International Campus of Excellence of the Sea gathered twenty researchers and students interested in this project.

Enrique Montero, professor of the UCA, gave a presentation on the need for active collaboration of fishermen, improved fishing, ports and make the center of activities against marine debris. He also noted the economic, social, solidarity and awareness of the project factors.

At this appointment they not missed the Scientific Director of CEI · Mar in Malaga City Castanera Xavier Niell and the general coordinator of CEI · Mar, D. Navas Fidel Echevarría noted the importance of the project for the campus as a link between fishermen, authorities port, scientific, environmental and waste management organizations and society in general.
